A Hidden America: Children of the Mountains

  2. I have no doubt that the presentation was less than "fair and balanced" -- when is the media ever fair and balanced? It's always looking for the sensational and always trying to create controversy.

    But I also don't doubt that there is grinding poverty in sections of Appalachia, that it gets far less attention than urban poverty, and that any reasonably constructive attention brought to it is, on the whole, a good thing.
